Family Ties: Chrysler and Dodge Group Shots

We're still waiting for the Chrysler Group to release some decent photo galleries of its newest models - and in particular, of the Dodge Charger and the Chrysler 200 - but until then, here are two group shots, one including all of the 2011MY Dodge models such as the Avenger, Charger, Challenger, Durango, Journey and Grand Caravan, and the other, the updated Chrysler 200 sedan and Town & Country.

2011 Chrysler 200: New Revealing Photos out in the Open

Along with the dark shadowed pictures we've already shown you, the folks over at TCC have let out four more very revealing photos of the new Chrysler 200. The fresh images confirm our initial impression that the exterior of Chrysler's reworked mid-size sedan is more of the result of slapping a new face and tail on the Sebring than a full-blown facelift.

We'll have the chance to see the new 200 in the flesh at next week's LA Auto Show, but if you want the lowdown on it, aside from the exterior makeover, the 200 also gets a revised interior and a new 283HP Pentastar V6. It will go on sale before the end of the year with prices starting from $19,995 for the base four-cylinder model.

*Update: Apparently the new photos of the 200 mid-sizer weren't official. Until Chrysler decides to fully share the 200 with the rest of the world - what's up with that Chrysler?- you can check the new pics by clicking the link above.

Chrysler Releases Pricing on 2011MY 200 Sedan, Starts at $19,995

Even though Chrysler has yet to give us the full picture on the Sebring's replacement, today the Detroit automaker announced pricing for the 2011MY 200 sedan. Planned to go on sale by the end of the year, the facelifted and renamed Sebring will be available at launch in three models (LX, Touring and Limited), with a fourth trim ("S") to be added later on. Prices start from $19,995, including a $750 destination fee.

North American buyers can choose between a base 2.4-liter four-cylinder petrol hooked up to either a four-speed or six-speed automatic, and the new 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, which produces 283 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque, and is mated to the 62TE six-speed transmission.

Chrysler says that virtually every system in its mid-size sedan is new or upgraded for 2011, while the redesign was inspired from the 2009 200C concept. On the outside, sheet metal upgrades include the new front fascia with Chrysler's corporate grille, LED lights all around and a reworked rear deck lid.

There are no photos of the interior yet, but the automaker makes word of an all-new instrument panel and steering wheel designs, plus new leather and cloth seating materials.

The starting U.S. Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) for each trim model are:

Chrysler 200 LX: $19,995 (including $750 destination)

Chrysler 200 Touring: $21,995 (including $750 destination)

Chrysler 200 Limited: $24,495 (including $750 destination)

Fresh Photos of New Chrysler 200 Sporting Brand's New Grille

Now that Chrysler Group has announced its new European Jeep lineup and revealed the next-gen Dodge Durango and Charger, the most important cars to expect soon are the 200 and 300 sedans. Chrysler has put out some new photos of its redesigned and renamed Sebring replacement, and we finally get a better look at the car's nose plus a peek at the leather interior with contrasting stitching.

You already know the car will get a the 2.4-liter I4 World Gas Engine and the new Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 with 283 horsepower. For the rest of all the released info, head over to our previous post. Right now we're here to check out the latest teasers from Chrysler.

With a full, if dim, view of the front end, it looks like the new Chrysler grille will get some styling cues from -wait for the shocker- Hyundai's latest proposals. Hopefully we'll be getting some proper pictures soon that will put any fears to rest.

Remember, this is just meant to be a stop-gap solution using the 200C concept's style on an old Sebring chassis; the next all-new 200 should be significantly less Sebring and more its own model in-line dimensionally with the concept it's based on.
